CLASSROOM

Say, “Thank you,” “Please,” and “Excuse me.”

Have my pen or pencil, planner, and homework daily.

Listen while someone else is talking.

Wear my complete uniform inside the classroom.

Choose to keep my full attention to my class work or class discussion.

HALLWAYS

Talk using only G-rated language.

Be in my classroom before the tardy bell rings.

Be quiet when I walk by.

Pick up trash/litter from the ground and place them in the trash cans.

Walk straight to my class when the bell rings.

CAFETERIA

Talk to my friends in a low noise level.

Have my lunch ticket ready.

Wait my turn in the lunch line.

Keep my table clean and put my tray away.

Put my trash in the trash cans.

RESTROOM

Flush the toilet after each use.

Use the restroom without missing class time.

Wash my hands with soap after each use.

Keep the restrooms clean at all times.

Keep paper towels and toilet paper off the floor.

  • Have a safe and enjoyable summer! See you at the Tumon campus on Tuesday, Aug. 9th for the first day of school. Student orientations will be held the first week of August. Schedule will be posted/announced in the PDN, school marquee, and school website.
  • 4th Quarter A-Club Registration will take place on Sunday, June 12th from 10 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. Program also includes entertainment, exhibits, giveaways, and demonstrations.
  • Islanders – take pride in your school and help keep our campus clean free of rubbish and graffiti!

SENIORS

  • Counselor Clearance is only available today from 7:15 - 11:00 A.M.
  • Main Office Clearance can be processed on the following dates:

*Thurs., May 26th for alpha "M-Z" from 1:30 - 4:30 P.M.
*All may clear on Tues 5/31 and Wed 6/1 from 8:00 A.M. -12 noon

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

  • Students shouldn’t have school bags with them on campus.
  • All cell phones and electronic devices/MP3 players may only be used before school, during break & lunch, and after school. Absolutely no use during passing time, instructional time, or when in the hallways during instructional time.

FROM THE COUNSELORS:

  • Attn Seniors: Free & Fun GCC pre-college "SUMMER SUCCESS PROGRAM" from June 6th – 20th. Math & English workshops, and more! See counselor today!
  • Seniors: UOG Math Camp, 10 more openings. June 6th – 17th. See your counselor today!
  • Seniors / Dual Enrolled Juniors: UOG Placement Test Dates are as follows: June 18 – Math; July 7 - [A-L] English; and July 8 - [M-Z] English.

FOR TEACHERS:

  • From the Employee Recognition Committee and the Administration: All faculty and staff are asked to meet in the cafeteria on Friday, May 27th at 10:00 P.M. (time changed) so that the Employee Recognition Committee may present 'awards' to those staff/teachers who have perfect attendance, etc. Thank you for your support.
  • The Tech Survey must be taken before you are given one of the BRAND NEW LAPTOPS that will be purchased with the ARRA Technology Grant. Please be aware that one phase of the technology grant is the implementation of wireless N standard for network access at our JFKHS Tumon campus.   • As part of your teacher clearance, please complete the proposed Service Learning Policy Survey. The policy is posted by the Teachers’ Sign in Sheet. See your respective administrator for a copy of the survey; otherwise, this information was emailed to you last week.
