To all John F. Kennedy High School Community Members:
Effective Monday, March 16, 2009 the school hours for JFKHS will change so that the first bell rings at 12:30 pm and the last bell rings at 5:15 pm. All classes, lunch, and break will move forward one-half hour and be of the current duration. See bell schedule below for further details.
Student drop-off will occur from 12:10 pm to 12:30 pm. Bus drop-off will not change; student report to their bus stops at their normal times. Student pick-up will take place from 5:14 pm to 5:45 pm. Busses will be released at 5:30 pm. Faculty and students are advised to adjust their schedule accordingly.
The purpose of this change is to provide a safer school environment and to allow students to travel home from school while there is still daylight.
